Don Lemon And Black On Black Racism

By on 10/13/2018

Kanye West has caught a lot of flak recently for being a Trump supporter.

On a recent segment on Don Lemon’s show on CNN, former Congressman Bakari Sellers exclaimed, “Kanye West is what happens when negros don’t read.” Don Lemon and the other black panelist, Tera Setmayer, both laughed at this statement.

After a little research, I discovered that Tera used to be the GOP Communications Director on Capitol Hill, but it appears her allegiances are elsewhere these days.

Later on in the segment, Tera stated, “Black folks are about to trade Kanye West in the racial draft,” and then asked, “He’s the token negro of the Trump administration?”

What in the world is going on here? I thought we left the word “negro” back in the 1960s, but apparently, as long as it is black people calling Kanye and conservative blacks negroes or worse, it’s okay. Except I do not feel like it’s okay.

Here’s a snippet of that segment:

In a later show, Don Lemon said these horrible things about Kanye:

We need to take the cameras away from Kanye and from a lot of this craziness that happens in the White House because it is not normal and we need to stop sitting here pretending that it’s normal. This was an embarrassment. Kanye’s mother is rolling over in her grave. I spoke to one of her friends today, or texted with one of her friends today from Chicago, Donda’s friends, I used to live there, I know ’em. She said, ‘Donda would be embarrassed by this. She would be terribly disturbed by this.’ And Kanye has not been the same since his mother died. He kept talking today about ‘Oh, I put the hat on and the hat made me feel strong and wearing a cape’–he needs a father figure.

It’s a sign of an incredibly weak-minded person when they have to attack someone using their deceased mother, and Don Lemon personifies weak. Don also claimed that Kanye West’s White House appearance was a “minstrel show” on Thursday.

Racism is racism, no matter who is doing it. The guests on the Don Lemon show, as well as Don himself are proof that you can be black and be racist against other blacks and be cheered on by your black cohorts.

Racism by anyone is despicable and Don Lemon and his guests are racists, and they are despicable.

That’s the way I see it.
