Stimulus Bill Nonsense

By on 12/22/2020

Wasteful government spending is what this bill is, but really, aren’t all bills by our Congress wasteful government spending?

Maybe I should be thankful for getting a tiny slice out of such a huge pie, but I’m looking at this from the perspective of a citizen concerned that the United States government would spend $900 billion on the “Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2021,” while giving the American people approximately fifteen cents on the dollar of their money. 85% of this money is going to places other than the working men and women and the retirees in this country. That is infuriating to me.

Or, maybe I’m just a peon who is reasonably good at math that doesn’t understand the big picture. It doesn’t matter. If I cannot understand it, the picture is too big.

Toward the end, I pivot and go on a rant about healthcare because it all ties together. This bill should be a prime example as to why we should not let the government touch our healthcare in the United States. We are spending $900 billion to get $600 to the average working American and retiree.

Where some of the money is going from the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2021.
Yes, Israel is misspelled. Don’t judge me. I didn’t make the infographic.
