Terrell “Terry” Neal Cook

Sedan –Terrell “Terry” Neal Cook, age 68, of Rural Elgin, Kansas, passed away, Tuesday, October 8, 2019 at his home.

Terry was born on December 21, 1950 in Ponca City, Oklahoma to Stephen Neal Cook and Norma Lee (Osteen) Cook.  He attended and graduated school from Ponca City High School in Ponca City, Oklahoma.  After high school he attended Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma.

On September 26, 1990 he married Rhonda Kennedy in Miami, Oklahoma.  They lived in Osage County Oklahoma for several years where Terry worked as a Deputy for the Osage County Sheriff’s Department until they moved to their home in Rural Chautauqua County in 2009.  Terry recently started working at Spears Manufacturing in Caney as a Quality Inspector.

Terry was a member of the NRA, he enjoyed spending time with his kids and grandkids, he also enjoyed riding four wheelers, fishing and hunting; Terry always had a smile for everyone.

Terry is survived by his wife Rhonda Cook of the home; three sons, Stephan Cook of Norman, Oklahoma, Christopher Cook of Portland, Oregon, and Toby Kennedy of Wilburton, Oklahoma; one daughter, Whitney Cook and her husband T.J. Mensch of Sedan, Kansas; four grandchildren, Angela Walters, Kaydence Mensch, Carson Mensch, and Colton Neil Mensch.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date.
