The Obama’s New, $14.85 Million Purchase in Martha’s Vineyard

No video today, folks! My laptop will not allow me to record a video without overheating and shutting down. It’s almost seven years old and has never been cleaned. I suppose I should do that, but I’ve looked up how to clean it, and it looks like a real pain to pull apart to clean. I’m not sure I want to do it.

Anyway, Barack and Michelle Obama purchased a $14.85 million dollar estate in Martha’s Vineyard. Yes, you know, the same Barack Obama who railed against wealth inequality and said this, “There’s only so much you can eat. There’s only so big a house you can have. There’s only so many nice trips you can take. I mean, it’s enough.”

So, one has to wonder, how big a house is too big, Barack? Does it have to be bigger than the nearly 7,000 square foot home you just purchased for nearly $15 million? How much wealth is too much? Is it more than the $65 million you and Michelle made on your book deal?

Even more damning, at least in my humble opinion, is the home at 79 Turkeyland Cove Rd, Edgartown, MA. It sits just 300 feet from the coast at roughly 10 feet above sea level. You can look this up on Google Earth if you’d like to see for yourself. Just search the above address, and it will come up. I’ve included the images below just in case you don’t feel like looking it up. You don’t see the measurements that I made from the coast to the house or the elevation, but trust me, the numbers I gave you are true.

It seems kind of odd that the same Barack Obama who warned us that climate change is our nation’s greatest threat would purchase a home so close to the ocean at such a low elevation. He said this in a speech in 2015:

  • I’ve heard some folks try to dodge the evidence by saying they’re not scientists; that we don’t have enough information to act. Well, I’m not a scientist, either. But you know what – I know a lot of really good scientists at NASA, and NOAA, and at our major universities. The best scientists in the world are all telling us that our activities are changing the climate, and if we do not act forcefully, we’ll continue to see rising oceans, longer, hotter heat waves, dangerous droughts and floods, and massive disruptions that can trigger greater migration, conflict, and hunger around the globe. The Pentagon says that climate change poses immediate risks to our national security. We should act like it.

“We should act like it,” how, Mr. president? By purchasing a multimillion-dollar home a football field’s length away from the ocean and a basketball goal’s height above it? It seems to me that if you were so concerned about climate change and rising ocean levels, you wouldn’t purchase such a home.

The word best used to describe the Obamas and others like the Clintons, Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren who are in his socialist clique, is ‘hypocrite.’ When they say that some will have to sacrifice for the few, they mean that others will have to sacrifice so they can live their expensive lifestyles, fly to exotic locations around the world, and live in their many opulent homes. I’ll guarantee you that this isn’t the only nice home the Obamas own. Only politicians can do so little and gain so much wealth.

Many are reporting this home as a mansion, which I find to be deceptive. doesn’t consider a home a mansion until it is over 8,000 square feet, which I find to be a little on the small side. I think 10,000 square feet should be the minimum to consider a house a mansion, and a small mansion at that. The Obamas new home measures in at just under 7,000 square feet. What the Obamas have purchased is a large, very expensive house, not a mansion.

So, in closing, the Obamas are very wealthy, some say in the neighborhood of $50+ million, hypocrites.

That’s the way I see it.
